The Railway is the perfect spot for your booking, be it a family Sunday Lunch or a Birthday celebration with your 25 mates. Or you can even hire out our back room privately if you have at least 45 guests attending (more info below)!

We offer a bottle of prosecco (or a cocktail jug if preferred) every 10 customers booked (party of 20 people get 2 bottles, 30 people 3 bottles etc).

We always keep plenty of tables free for walk-ins, so you don’t have to book although we recommend doing so for bigger groups and at busy times such as Friday and Saturday evening or Sunday lunch time.

At present you can book online for anything from 2 to 20 people indoor and from 2 to 30 people outdoor under cover.
For larger parties or private back room functions of 45+ people please send an enquiry at bookings@therailwaysw16.co.uk.
If your selected date doesn’t give you availability contact us and we’ll find a way to accommodate your party if possible.

All bookings of 6+ people falling at the weekend will require a card pre-authorization of £10 per head which acts as a safeguard against no shows. This is preferable to a deposit, especially for big sized parties, as no money is actually withdrawn from your account unless you fail to show up or provide adequate notice of cancellation – 12 hours for parties up to 10 people & 48 hours for larger ones.

Our outdoor bookings are under cover. We are happy to move your party inside or outside if preferred, according to availability.

Back room private bookings need to be discussed and agreed with one of the managers. In principle we are happy to provide the room privately for parties or functions of at least 45 people. There is no cost to hire out the room, but at the weekend we ask for a minimum spend of £1,000 to be met. We can provide buffets, access to our sound system to play your own music or you can even bring in someone to play live music. Tables can be removed if requested in order to create a standing/dancing area.
